Lost At Sea

Lost At Sea
8x10"
watercolor on aquaboard

Lost at Sea was painted a few years ago after my son and I went for a walk at Willows Beach in Victoria. It was inspired by an abandoned raft with a sheet as a sail. It was no doubt a child's fantasy in the works and we joined in the imaginary dreams as we discussed Swiss Family Robinson, pirates, and all the adventures that could occur out at sea.

My Video Collection now available

A few years ago I created some instructional DVDs on how to paint several different watercolor techniques. Now that the way of the DVD is becoming history, I decided that I needed to make these videos available for download on your computer or mobile device.
These videos are now available through Vimeo as a set or you can purchase them individually.

The videos are Fun With Watercolors: Great Blue Heron where I show how to pour, blow, and finger paint with watercolor to create an fun and interesting background for a heron.

Fun With Watercolors: Harbor Seal is similar to the heron video but shows techniques for creating a seal with surrounding kelp.

Pouring Liquid Color: Floating in Color is the full pouring technique that you see me do so often.

Fun and Free Watercolor Landscape: Woodland Pasture is where I show how to splatter, salt and and paint a landscape.

Each video is $25 USD or you can buy the whole collection for $90 USD- a 10% discount.
Rentals of the videos are also available.

To purchase or to view a clip of each individual video, go to Vimeo by clicking here.

Reference material for each video can also be found on my website by clicking here

Have fun painting!
