Brown Eyed Girl

Brown Eyed Girl
11x14"

This brown eyed cutie is a painting I did with my Animals in Watercolor class.
It shows the versatility of only 3 colors-
Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, and French Ultramarine Blue.

Leslie, this is stunning, I was surprised when you mentioned using only 3 colors. I'm trying to mix things up a bit, paint looser and also experiment with different colors. I'm also interested in painting dogs so I find this especially interesting.

WOW!!! So much life to that girl and only those 3 colours. Love it!

Thank you everyone for your comments! I have painted dogs before but not many. There are many, many artists in the area that specialize in dog portraits.

Dear Leslie - discovered your blog. Your watercolors are beautiful. This puppy calls out to me so - we have had three basset hounds and just lost our last. Adorable. Will be checking back to see your work - so glad to meet you.
