Happy Mother's Day

My Mom
22x30"

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mom!
She has been my biggest support and continues to be my greatest cheerleader.
(Plus she makes an awesome sitter for portraits.)

My mother has always encouraged me in the arts.
She would take me to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC when I was growing up and let me peruse the rooms filled with paintings.
My mother taught me the basics of drawing and would encourage my imagination.
She continues to help me on my artistic journey.

Thank you Mom for being there for me through it all.
You are not only my mom but my best friend.
I love you!

Lovely post, you are lucky to still have your mom to support you. Mine was an inspiration as well but she has been gone for awhile now. Enjoy the day, you are a mom as well.

I haven't checked the blogs I follow for awhile so it was nice to see all of your newest paintings. I really love this one. It's a great pose and I love the lighting. Really beautiful!
