Eventide

10x13"
sold

Prints also available through Fine Art America by clicking here.
Eventide was an enjoyable painting to paint because it is from a photograph during my favorite time of year- the summer solstice. I painted it over a cold rainy couple of days and tried to recreate what summer feels like. I also wanted to capture the colors of the sunset over the water and the reflections of the boats.

Oh Gosh Leslie, so much fluid so much gorgeous color in one landscape. Wonderful work! It looks as if it was done in one sitting yet I know who much work it takes to achieve the feeling of fresh color and air-like painting.
Thank you,
Irina

The painting is beautiful. Leslie, and your love of this scene and time of year comes through so strongly. That's my favorite time of year, too.
